Unfair and Unbalanced - Definitely

Saw this on DailyKos and decided it needed posting here - not just because it shows Faux Noise at their most feverish "hate President Obama" pitch - but in watching a few times - I've noticed the "looks" on the face of Beck...[and well the stupidity of Gingrich which he just keeps documenting]

Either he is auditioning to be the clown of Faux Noise and competing with Falafa Man for something - or he is having some mental issues - or maybe both?

It is worrisome that at least a portion of people still think this is "news" and that it is correct news.... they won't admit to the possibility that they are being lied to and used - more serious mental issues here?

[disclaimer - I am not a licensed professional and am only stating a personal opinion] :D

Faux Noise has Faux Outrage [over an IPod?]

I wish the unfair and unbalanced "whatever you call them" at Faux Noise did their own google checking like they suggested President Obama should have done - but faux noise are too full of faux to even do that amount of "work." After all - it's much easier to make it up and repeat it all day and get your followers to start yammering about it :D

PS - I'll give you a big hint about the ending [ the Queen asked for the ipod]

JohnMcSameMcBushIII©'s Pity Party Redux

Poor old tired old JohnMcSameMcBushIII©.

His latest email tells us that Obama is going to get a convention bounce!

So what can poor old tired old JohnMcSameMcBushIII© do?

Why he needs your money! Before September 1st!

For what purpose? Poor old tired old JohnMcSameMcBushIII© can't tell you - he really has no agenda except for being bush's 3rd term but he'd like your money anyway. I bet to run ads like he's been running...the rove machine ads...When you have nothing to add to a conversation, [so goes the repug mantra], yell, scream, and lie.

We see this on faux noise and we'll see more of it from the pity party in Minnesota.

Faux Noise is at it again

Faux Noise has a problem - losing viewers? - so they keep repeating whatever they think will attract viewers - never mind that it's not true. Truth never gets in the way of a faux noise report....

Here is another Brave New Films clip showing this recent spate of faux noise's noise:

Idiot sexist Matthews

I tend to watch MSNBC solely because of Keith Olbermann. And so I tuned in after the Iowa caucuses and New Hampshire primary. Not sure this will become my pattern because of Mathews - aka Tweety.

I also give MSNBC and Olbermann kudos for having Rachel Maddow on as a regular guest. She outsmarts and "out polites" Tweety and I think that's why he dislikes her - I think he dislikes all women.

He cut her off when she was trying to say something after the Iowa day - but she smiled and let him look like the idiot he is. But last night after New Hampshire he really showed his stupidity and was taken to task by Tom Brokaw.

Tweety was so off and running his mouth about why the polling showed Obama so ahead and yet Hillary won the primary. He
seems not to understand that the alleged media is so gung ho to have a crowned winner this early that they take any poll numbers and spin it into "Winner" with no thought given to any analysis. Serious reporting has gone by the wayside in our infotainment "news" era.

Then Brokaw took Tweety to task for his rant and actually said that the media was to blame for trying to be the ones to anoint a winner...not letting voters decide. Tweety went nutso - trying to keep talking over Brokaw and saying dumb things like do many universities live off their polling and on and on and on...Brokaw, also polite, kept interjecting sanity into the discussion and Tweety looked stupid...more stupid than he usually looks.

Why MSNBC keeps him is a mystery - Tweety is more like a faux noise yeller...he does not listen and only wants his view to be on the air..

So - me, the politikal junkie will watch to hear Keith and Rachel - but if Tweety keeps spouting his stupid comments as the primary season goes on - MSNBC will be losing me as a viewer.

From New Hampshire

On January 4th I lamented that the "news" stations were anointing winners and losers by deciding who was and who not was a "viable" candidate: link here.

Until now not many repugs, or anyone, got upset by this....

Now watch angry Ron Paul supporters trail and yell at Sean Hannity [Paul was not invited to the faux noise forum]

Faux noise is angry that Obama and Edwards refuse to do interviews on any of the faux noise programs. Poor babies. so what do they do - they continue the smear campaign against these two presidential hopefuls and think that will get them to appear on the station? DOH!

Watch this Brave New Films video

then go here and sign the open letter to Edwards and Obama in support of their decisions. [ You can also view the video at that page. ]

Warning - sexual smut hypocrisy from Faux Noise

Faux Noise uses gratuitous sexual images in all their broadcasts....all the while telling whoever watches that too much sex is shown on the airwaves...

Those very airwaves are supposed to belong to all of us - not the few who now "own" them!
From Robert Greenwald:

Today we have a surprise (well at least it surprised all of us at BNF). Thanks to the terrific work of the News Hounds, we bring you Fox and ole' Billy O'Reilly attacking decency. Yes, you read that right. The self-righteous, pompous, bloviators who deign to lecture on how we should behave in our personal lives, are in fact exploiting women, pandering to the lowest common denominator and pushing smut out on the airwaves on a daily basis!

And this will definitely raise your hackles. YOU ARE PAYING FOR THIS! Yes, you read that right too. So watch the video and pass it along to as many on your email list as possible. We simply must let the FCC know we are mad as hell about having their smut in our homes and being forced to pay for it. And we're simply not going to take it anymore.

Sincerely,
Robert Greenwald, Cliff Schecter, and the Brave New Films team

P.S. Here's what Gloria Steinem had to say about the video: "Fox News shows more sexualized violence and humiliation than probably any other network -- all in the name of condemning it -- while under-showing violence in Iraq, all in the name of supporting it. After this video, smart viewers and advertisers will boycott Fox."

Ahh my weird sense of humor

Faux and Balanced?

Robert Greenwald asks a good question:
So we throw the question to you, our activists and media observers. What should be done about FOX? And given this ridiculous imbalance, should we encourage liberals and Democrats to stop going on FOX until the rules are fair, the deck is not stacked?

Give us your thoughts…

This Faux and Balanced noise-cast is what he refers to...

The mighty mouths - or is it moths?

It was such fun reading dailykos about the "mine is bigger than yours gang" debate on faux noise that I turned on the TV. Reminded me of when I was in graduate school and my friends and roomies would not allow me to watch Nixon because I threw something at our TV set once to turn it off I think....and we poor graduate students couldn't afford a new one...

I no longer throw things at repugs on TV - I have learned to turn it off...of course it helps also that I now have a remote and do not have to move my body : - )

Went back to kos for a fun update...it's like the sites that watch faux so we don't have to - posters on kos watch the debates so I do not have to...thank you

Tired of Faux Noise Hate Mongering?

If you are tired of the unfair and unbalanced noises and commentators on Faux Noise Cable...there is a campaign getting underway to help you...

Watch the youtube clip and then sign up here to help http://bravenewfilms.org/foxads...
you may feel a whole lot saner....

We're fighting back by identifying and calling all of FOX's advertisers. All of them. Particularly local advertisers who probably have no idea the kind of hatred their money is supporting.

An open letter to JetBlue

I sent this to JetBlue corporate:

I was not going to attend Yearly Kos but was going to start using JetBlue to fly to the East coast.

Sorry - but now I not only will not fly your airline, I will suggest to all that they not use you either. Why? You are hypocrites. I understand that you advertise on a channel that promotes the worst hatred I have seen and I am going on 68 years old. [I do not watch Faux Noise.]

I spent the latter part of the 60' s boycotting TWA due to their stand on the grape boycott. It meant I flew cross-country always having to make flight changes and waiting hours in Chicago for those flights. I do put my money where my mouth is and as a book reading activist I never considered those wasted hours.

My mouth now says "do not fly JetBlue." I don't want to be in a plane flown by pilots flying for a company run by cowards who are afraid of a big mouthed, lying, obnoxious sexual predator.

This will also go on my blog.

Thank you for your kind attention.

HUH? CNN takes another cue from Faux Noise

From the CNN website

"I'm surprised that they're saying that there's no politics involved, and we're still 2½ weeks away from April Fool's Day," said Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-New Hampshire, chairman of the Senate panel. "How can they possibly stand there with a straight face and say that's not politics? Of course it's politics." [bold is mine -ld]

One would think that a "news" story could get this correct - after all there are only 100 Senators and I can Google that list pretty fast.. It isn't that Leahy is a new Senator - he's been there a long time. Guess CNN doesn't fact check even these basics. Or they think Vermont and New Hampshire are one and the same? Or they have taken a page from Faux Noise who make a habit of mislabeling.

Leahy is D-Vermont.
