Poor Old McCain

I had subscribed to the emails from the McCain campaign but unsubscribed on Nov. 5th 0r 6th. In spite of that unsubscribe - today I got this email from poor old mcsame...

Note when reading that is says nothing except give me $$$ - 5 times - 5 places where you can click to contribute to this whatever it is....But - wowee - you become a "Charter Member"

Maybe Rs are so used to doling out money to other Rs that they don't ask for reasons. I'd sure want to know where my $ was really going other than to this meaningless blather:

Anti-American Congresspeople

I am not a journalist but I thought I'd take Michelle Bachmann up on her suggestion to do some investigating into anti-American Congresspeople.

I'll start with my definition of anti-American.

1. People who do not believe in free speech or who never read the Constitution.
2. People who not understand what the role of the vice president is.
3. People who name call and us divisive tactics.
4. People who are proud of their party's sleaze campaign.

I prefer a leader who understands modern technology

Poor John McSame McBush etc...you know the guy running for Bush's 3rd term who can't understand the Internet, YouTube or email or how ideas get passed around a lot more quickly than his pony express mind....

It's not his age - it's his tenacity in sticking to the last century - the one he likes so much. It's why the video below is so good and why McSame still has no idea that in today's technological world, one can find his "old" and "new" statements that show him to be not only stupid about technology...but a liar!

Many of these supporters are former supporters of Senator Clinton.

Senator McCain has had a very good working relationship with Senator Clinton and will continue to do so in the future. In the same New Orleans speech he said:

"Senator Clinton has earned great respect for her tenacity and courage. The media often overlooked how compassionately she spoke to the concerns and dreams of millions of Americans, and she deserves a lot more appreciation than she sometimes received. As the father of three daughters, I owe her a debt for inspiring millions of women to believe there is no opportunity in this great country beyond their reach. I am proud to call her my friend."

Just got one from Obama - it's a nice email with one link saying donate. It was mostly a chatty letter about what is going on and reminding me to watch his speech tonight - which I will do.

None from Clinton today but yesterday hers had several appeals for money - with suggested amounts.

Poor John McSame

Tonight he's in Kenner, Louisiana raising money and preaching to the choir.....Kenner is near the airport and McSame seems to like raising money near airports..

Quick in, quick out and usually easily controlled so he won't have to deal with protesters.

Also - Kenner is NOT New Orleans - perhaps because he does not want to remind people what he was doing when Katrina hit and people died.

But some of us do remember what McSame was doing and we'll keep reminding people. John McSame is Bush's 3rd term -so poor John McSame - You can't run away from your past and pretend.....

The mother of a friend had donated money to the Republican Party - and after she went to live with my friend, she then got email from them at my friend's address. The friend, a Democrat, never told the Repugs that the mother had died [1991] because she so enjoys the emails and loves sending them on to me : - )

McCain in his own damning words

I watched TV a bit this morning and heard Obama and McCain speak in Memphis on the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.

Obama was good and on point. McCain of course had to remind us he had been a POW - his latest mantra. But today he let us know what he thought and thinks of Dr. King..

In speaking of his captivity he said they never gave the captives any "meaningful news"...but, he said, they did tell him of the deaths of Dr. King an Bobby Kennedy but no news about the moon shot.

So in his own words he has again reminded us that he thinks of the deaths [and probably the lives] of Dr. King and Bobby Kennedy as lacking meaning....

And what would have had meaning for him? Learning about the moon shot!

McCain - a conservative man who panders to the worst in our country!

Things are good? in Iraq

Yoo hoo John McCain....may I suggest you read the news and see what is going on in Iraq.

I'm not a military strategist but this sure looks bad to me - I mean the Green Zone is in a shut down. and you say all is well there? I think you have a problem with reality.

And Petraeus? No more troop withdrawals? So we were correct in calling thi an escalation...a surge is short term - when they stay it's an occupation and in this instance - an occupation that escalatated.

And you both say that if we leave - chaos will folow...

Both of you - and mr c-in-c .... what do call the current status in Iraq? and ow does it differ from chaos?

Hillary, Barack and Judgement

Recall that only a short time ago Hillary said she and John McCain were ready to be commander-in-chief and Barack only had speeches [or something along this line.]

Well if her role model of "ready to lead" is John McCain - we all need to worry. McCain has no idea what is going on in Iraq and misstated the situation there several times in the last few days. Either he is like Bush and lies or he is like Bush and has no clue as to reality. Either way it is scary to think that Hillary put herself in the same league with McCain.

Pardon me - but if this is Hillary's idea of ready to lead I'll take my chances with person who thinks "judgment" counts and that's Barack Obama.

The Clinton Dichotomy

Can someone please tell me why Hillary is bad mouthing Obama and praising McCain while Bill is chatting up a Hillary/Obama ticket?

I am disliking Hillary more each day - call me naive but I really dislike the "tell them anything so they elect me" mentality. I know it's a campaign tactic - usually used by the repugs.... isn't using scare tactics while praising McCain a repug tactic ? Because if she says Obama is not fit to be commander-in-chief, how can he be her veep? It doesn't fit.....

Or - maybe Hillary is looking to be McCain's running mate? Does she secretly want that to happen? It's one of the few ideas I have that fits her current verbiage.

Either that or she is being funded by the same people that are funding McCain and she is being used to bolster McCain's campaign?

Anyway - if there is a Hillary support reading this - please explain...as I, the psychologist am very befuddled....

Joined at the mind

Want another 4 more years of mr lowest ratings? then vote for John I-love-bush McCain.

They are so joined in their policies - it will be just like a bush 3rd term! WOW!

Only the media think he is a maverick - the rest of us know better.

And many people are starting to look not only at McCain's age - but also his health. He will be 72 this summer. Being only a little younger than him I don't see that as his biggest problem - but he has had surgery for melanoma altho he seems to have been cancer-free for more than 5 years.....

But his policies ? those are scarier than his age and health.

Do not forget - this is the man who talks about more war and fewer jobs!

A follow up to yesterday's post about McCain.....I personally do not care about his sex life except that the R's seem to be obsessed with everyone's sex life except those of other R's...so it's the hypocrisy that is important - it "speaks to character" [ remember when Bill C got blow job and lied about it?] - it was all about "character."

So here's more about the "character" of mccain and those whom he calls "friends"

McCain, Clinton and Words

I am a bit perplexed about Mc Cain and Clinton choices of words lately.

McCain is accused of having had a relationship with a lobbyist – so apparently blatant that his own staff stepped in to halt it.

His reply was that he did not have a romantic relationship with the female telecommunications lobbyist in question and did not favor her clients.

"I'm very disappointed in the article ...it's not true...I've served this nation honorably for more than half a century...at no time have I ever done anything that would betray the public trust."

Hmmm

Romantic relationship? Funny choice of words – what if it were just a sexual relationship – no romance needed for that and then he is not actually lying.

Served honorably? Maybe McCain is forgetting his role in the Keating scandal and the fact that he ditched wife #1 – the one who waited for him when he was a POW. After the divorce he quickly married money and had his political career bought for him by his wife and father-in-law. And he has admitted to adultery.

But maybe that fits his definition of honorable?

And Clinton. As she sinks further in the polls she has been using language that I find odd. For example this: "One of us is ready to be commander in chief in a dangerous world,"

I have enough experience with questionnaires, marketing and psychology to look at that sentence and ask: Who? And then: Why? The answers are not apparent in her statement so listeners are left to supply their own responses. For example, the answer could be McCain as he was in the military and in Congress longer than she has been.

If Clinton wants the answer to be “Hillary” then she has to tell the listeners that it’s her and why it is her. Just being 1st lady for 8 years does not make one a “ready” commander-in-chief anymore than having been in the military or being an Illinois Senator.

But of course no one asks her or her pollsters/insiders these questions – they are just looking for repeatable lines. And the line is being repeated – by McCain – so maybe they should all be asked about qualifications.
