Grand Old Perps

The good news today is that more GOPerps are making the headlines for their behavior. Now I am not one to say Dems are perfect - I grew up in NYC and lived in Boston and DC for too long to be that naive.... but the Dems don't usually put themselves out "there" as the "moral" personae....

So with great glee I say what goes around comes around.. when you say you will clear the government of corruption you will be monitored .. it's like the shrub saying "bring it on." Sheer stupidity when you do not back up your words with appropriate behavior.

Here's to the latest GOPerps: [yes innocent until proven guilty - I know I know : )]

Conrad Burns' sort of recent fun-raiser in chief is accused of securities fraud and Bob Corker, a Senator wannabe in TN, was subpoenaed to be deposed in an environmental lawsuit.... Gosh I bet they both hire attorneys - funny how these perps who hate lawyers are the 1st to lawyer-up when they are in trouble..

If you don't like lawyers - don't hire one!

New Orleans

I had been to New Orleans at least twice - both before Katrina... It is/was a fun city to visit and I recall many great meals eaten there....Last night I watched the Spike Lee documentary about Katrina and I cried...not that there was anything new in the documentary - I know king shrub had his head up his usual spot and did not pay attention and then said that oft repeat "who ever knew...."[fill in the blank]

But a year later the gulf region is still hurting- while we continue to spend billions killing people in Iraq and getting killed in the process. And if the shrub continues on this path [and he says he will] more and more cities in the USA will continue to hurt, have damaged infrastructure and decaying schools. New Orleans is the most visible example of the shrub's national policies while Iraq remains the symbol of his international policies.

It's my country and I want it back! Regime change in 2006!
