I sure miss Molly Ivins

It's been one year since Molly Ivins died. Her skewering of the shrub is sorely missed and so I will re-post her last words to all of us:
We are the people who run this country. We are the deciders. And every single day, every single one of us needs to step outside and take some action to help stop this war. Raise hell. Think of something to make the ridiculous look ridiculous. Make our troops know we're for them and trying to get them out of there. Hit the streets to protest Bush's proposed surge. If you can, go to the peace march in Washington on January 27. We need people in the streets, banging pots and pans and demanding, "Stop it, now!"
I just watched the Democratic debate [why is Blitzer such an idiot?] - anyway both Obama and Clinton said good stuff and they were quite civil - even politely telling Blizter he was an idiot [but not in those words]

If Molly were here tonight - she'd call Blitzer an idiot for asking such stupid questions trying to make some point of his own - but she'd be still telling us still to get out in the street with pots and pans to demand and end to this war - but this time adding "ELECT A DEMOCRAT"
